Apprentice Rotation

A Model of Success for Everyone Involved

Gain experience in other companies, enhance your self-confidence and make new contacts – that is the Apprentice Rotation.

For two weeks, apprentices from participating companies switch places with each other and gain exciting insights into the everyday working life of other apprentices. During this time, they take on new duties and thereby expand their potential career horizons.

The project was started years ago by Christoph Maier, a former member of the Executive Board at Thomas-Krenn.AG. He quickly found partner companies in the region and the project was swiftly realized – starting with a large kick-off event in February 2008.

The following companies participated in the first year of the apprentice rotation in 2008: Sparkasse Freyung-Grafenau, Stadt Freyung, Seaquist Closures Löffler GmbH and Thomas-Krenn.AG.

The project was well-received by both the companies and the apprentices, which was reflected in the number of companies and apprentices participating in the following year: both figures more than doubled.
